About Us

Placare… to relieve pain, feel better, make calm.

A session with Theresa Dextrase involves primarily gentle osteopathic manipulation and palpation.  She hopes to bring you more in touch with how you are living in your body, and your internal resources. Theresa’s osteopathy program was a 7-year (part-time) program at Canadian School of Osteopathy—Manual Practice. She has been a health professional since 1995 with diplomas in dietary technology, holistic health, massage therapy, and osteopathy. Her movement experience also includes yoga, Trager Bodywork, Continuum, Body-Mind Centering, Tai Chi, and contemporary dance.  Her clinic room is a safe space and all work takes place within your comfort.

Katherine McFatridge is a proud graduate of Grant MacEwan’s 2200 hour Massage Therapy diploma program. She is registered with the NHPC.

Her main treatment focus is on deep tissue, Swedish, and pre/postnatal massage. She embraces the philosophy that every client’s wellness journey is unique and endeavors to work with her clients to develop the treatment plan that best suits their needs. During her time as a massage therapist she has worked with a diverse clientele which has brought a greater depth and breadth to her profession and enriched her life. She has been heartened to witness the increased interest in physical therapies and complementary health care and feels blessed to be involved in this move towards self-care and preventative work.

Katherine’s continuing education plans include further training in a variety of modalities, more specific work with pre/postnatal massage, and a more complete bag of tricks for client home care that are both fun and effective. She attends workshops and classes as often as possible to enhance her skills to better server her clients. She is excited to continue to expand her knowledge, experience, and expertise in body work.
